Can my Pet Tag along?

Pets are an integral part of our lives. My house is full of them and likely so is yours. Obviously, you want to include them in your photos. Dogs, cats, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, lizards, whatever pet you may have is family. So how do you approach your photographer about including them? It never hurts to ask, but there are some things to be aware of.

Pets take special consideration. Certain locations may not work for your pet. Your pet may require an assistant or special props. Your photo shoot may also require extra time. This makes a photo shoot more complicated, but it can also make it more fun. If you do get the green light to bring your pet along make sure you bring treats, water, and anything else you might need to take your pet out of the house. Then relax, be patient, and enjoy the results.
